Now if you guys grew up watching the legendary “Alien”, “Aliens”, “Predator”, and numerous other flims that set off the chain reaction for the most successfully Science fiction series! Then you will be glad to know that “Alien Vs Predator” was released February 16, 2010 in US, February 18, 2010 in Europe, and February 19, 2010 Australia. So why should you be in a hurry to go out, and purchase this great video game?, well most alien vs predator(refer to as AVP) tend to be lacking many original qualities that makes the franchise so marvelous. So let me try to convince you to go out, and come back home happy.

Presentation~
When you first look at the game you think about each species, and awed by the pure detail embedded into each single character, and even the marines look like your average Joe who looks like he/she could use a shower. But if visual detail was not enough to impress you, listen to the audio as you play through the game. Classic Alien fans will enjoy hearing the nostalgic pulse rifle firing, and remembering “Aliens” as they get that feeling of being apart of a movie. Even Alien’s get their old art concept designs. Like H.R.Giger’s alien dome seen below.

Plus still having their infamous hsssss sound which will be just as scary when you watched the films. Predators also gained many benefits from their groans, and simply pressing buttons on their bracers. This has got to be the best presentation in any game by far by sticking so original to the series, and making you feel like you participating in the AVP world.
Graphics~
While AVP won’t win over HDtv lovers, or gain awards for best visuals of the year, it provides beauty even in such a slaughter fest. The passive background of each environment you come across will show you different ways to look at the locations, and to assume if that can be a pro, or con. For example; dark, empty, and eerie tunnels will be one of the scariest emotions that haunts the marine player constantly, while tunnels are home to alien players who blend into the shadows to stay hidden.
While jungles are favored by the Predator’s love for heights, and distance among hunting his human, and alien prey. So environment itself is not so much for the pleasure of the eyes, but to better the heighten eyes against your foes. So remember while gazing into the trees keep your eyes peeled for movement, because the leafs are not the only ones moving.

Game-Play~
So how do all the species interact with each other, even being so different? Well each race has benefits, and negatives that is display in both Campaign, and most importantly Multiplayer. Let take for example the marines. while they lack pure brute strength, and the agile speed, they make up for their numerous numbers, and deadly weaponry/equipment. Completely different though alien suffers horrible range, But has the fastest speed within the game. Basically saying they can be in one location, then travel to another location within matters of seconds, and lets not forget the fact that they can wall climb on ANY SURFACE. Then we have to deal with the sneaky hunters who can take any brunt of the damage, stalk any targets with two special vision modes suited for alien, or marine, and use high advance technology. So in some sense they have somewhat of a rock beat scissors beat paper beats paper. Plus predators, and aliens can backstab their targets. So watch your back marines.

Enjoyability~
From this all being say, we can conclude that this game was very enjoyable. Now for fans of either Alien, Predator, or even both franchises will adore this game. For those average FPS fans will get something new out of this game as they play as the marine, and for those who just enjoy horror events, and some nasty gore then please enjoy! This game is rated M and for good reason. It’s not for someone with a weak stomach, and definitely not for youngsters.

Final Review~
My personal review of this game would be 9.2 out of 10, while IGN, and gamespot give their own reviews you can see under this paragraph. As you can tell they gave bad reviews, and not many did review fairly. Though european reviews were pretty great, to decent ratings to the game.
